ROBIN NARRON, CPA
MANAGING PARTNER
Robin is a Certified Public Accountant and the managing partner at Narron Merritt, PLLC, a CPA firm based in Zebulon, North Carolina. She earned a double major in Business Administration and Accounting from Barton College and brings 26 years of experience in the accounting industry to her role. Robin has a strong background working with charter schools, having been a partner at a firm that provided financial services to charter schools across North Carolina. Her expertise spans public accounting, government accounting, and small business management. In addition to her CPA certification, obtained in 2014, Robin is nationally recognized for Small Business Management and holds both insurance and securities licenses. Since becoming the managing partner at Narron Merritt in 2022, she has continued to lead the firm with dedication. Outside of work, Robin enjoys beach outings and cherishing time with her family.
LES MERRITT, CPA, CFP PROFESSIONAL
PARTNER
Mr. Les Merritt is preparing for retirement after a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner™. Since obtaining his CPA designation in 1981 and his Certified Financial Planner™ certification in 1986, Mr. Merritt has made significant contributions to the field of accounting and public service. From January 2005 to January 2009, he served as the State Auditor of North Carolina, becoming the first CPA to hold this position. During his tenure, Mr. Merritt was a key member of North Carolina’s Council of State and the Local Government Commission, leading an agency with over 200 employees responsible for overseeing the fiscal and financial accountability of the state government. Following his role as State Auditor, Mr. Merritt served as the executive director of the Foundation for Ethics in Public Service, Inc. from mid-2009 to early 2011. Prior to his tenure as State Auditor, he spent more than 20 years as an owner and managing partner in various privately held accounting and auditing firms.

Seamus Brennan
Seamus graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and joined Narron Merritt, PLLC in 2023. His passion for sports is a defining feature of his personality, and he has an impressive background as a Division 1 rugby player, having competed in four different countries. At Narron Merritt, Seamus has quickly become a valued member of the team, bringing enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to his role. He is committed to furthering his professional development and plans to pursue certification while continuing to grow within the firm. Outside of work, Seamus enjoys staying active and is always up for a new sporting challenge.
Shyla Casey
Tawnya Beverley
Tawnya serves as our Tax Manager at Narron Merritt, PLLC, having joined the firm in January 2021. With over 20 years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation, Tawnya brings a wealth of expertise to her role, ensuring accurate and efficient tax services for our clients. Outside of work, Tawyna has a diverse range of interests. She enjoys hunting, which provides her with a sense of adventure and connection to nature. Spending quality time with her family is a top priority, and she cherishes these moments as they strengthen her bonds with loved ones. Tawnya also has a passion for exploring new places, whether it’s trying out new restaurants or traveling to different destinations. Her vibrant personality and commitment to both her professional and personal life make her a valuable asset to our team.
JT Sents
JT is currently a student at Barton College, where he is double majoring in Business Administration and Accounting while also competing as a Division II lacrosse player. His commitment to the sport is evident as he has been a dedicated player throughout all four years of his college career. Upon graduating next summer, JT plans to pursue his CPA certification, aiming to deepen his expertise in accounting and further his professional development. In his current role at the firm, he is gaining valuable experience that will support his future career goals. In his free time, JT enjoys a variety of activities that keep him active and engaged. He is an outdoor enthusiast who loves working out, spending time by the water, and relaxing at the beach. He also values social connections and enjoys hanging out with friends, balancing his rigorous academic and athletic commitments with a vibrant personal life.
Jeremy Alvarez
Jeremy is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting at Barton College, where he is also a dedicated Division II soccer player. His commitment to both his studies and athletic career exemplifies his strong work ethic and leadership qualities. Outside of his academic and athletic endeavors, Jeremy is passionate about a variety of activities. He enjoys watching all types of sports, spending time at the beach, and immersing himself in the great outdoors. Whether he’s on or near a body of water or contributing to his church band, Jeremy values both relaxation and community involvement. His diverse interests reflect his well-rounded personality and dedication to balancing work, play, and personal growth.
Rachel Alford
Rachel graduated from William Peace University with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Sports Management. Throughout her college career, she demonstrated her dedication as a Division III soccer player, competing for all four years. Since joining Narron Merritt, PLLC in 2024, Rachel has brought a strong work ethic and a wealth of experience to her role. Before coming to the firm, she gained valuable insights as a sales associate with the Carolina Hurricanes and spent five years with the Carolina Mudcats, where she developed her skills in a fast-paced sports environment. During her college years, Rachel was not only an accomplished athlete but also an active member of the National Athlete Honor Society, served as a peer tutor, and worked as a teacher assistant. These roles underscored her commitment to excellence and her ability to balance multiple responsibilities. Outside of work, Rachel is an avid reader and enjoys relaxing by the pool. A passionate baseball fan, she also values spending quality time with her family and creating lasting memories.
Nic Lord
Nic is currently pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Accounting at Barton College, where he also excels as a Division II lacrosse player. His dual focus on academics and athletics highlights his dedication and strong time management skills. Outside of school and lacrosse commitments, Nic is passionate about the outdoors and loves spending time at the beach. He is an avid sports enthusiast with a particular interest in hockey and soccer, often catching games and following his favorite teams. Nic’s vibrant interests and active lifestyle reflect his energetic and well-rounded approach to both his professional and personal life.
Laura Narron
Laura is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Barton College, where she is actively involved in several prestigious programs. She is a member of the Presidential Leadership Fellows and the Nursing Direct program, both of which highlight her commitment to excellence in her field. Additionally, Laura participates in the college dance team, balancing her academic responsibilities with her passion for dance. In her free time, Laura enjoys a range of outdoor activities. She loves visiting the beach and lake, often bringing her dogs along for the fun. She values spending quality time with friends and family, cherishing the moments they share together. Laura’s vibrant personality and dedication to both her studies and personal interests reflect her well-rounded approach to life.
